L.A.U.S.D Bomb Threat
On December 15, 2015 there was a bomb threat on L.A.U.S.D schools. I got into my carpool car thinking it was a normal day, but as soon as I got into the car I heard the these words from my friend Isabella, were going to die today! The bomb threat was directed to the superintendent, Ramon Cortines. This threat was also directed to New York, but they didn’t care. In Los Angeles, 640,000 kids stayed at home, and all L.A.U.S.D. schools were closed. For many students, this week was finals week, the threat could have been a student trying to get out of a test. The threat included, “explosive devices”,”assault rifles”, and “machine pistols”. For me the day included fear, for most of the day my stomach was tied in a nought. My theory for the day was that if all L.A.U.S.D. schools were closed and some private schools, then they would have to bomb a private school that was still open. During P.E. that day all of the girls were riled up because we saw people in white shirts in the hills, we thought they were the bombers. At the end of the day nothing happened, the threat was fake.
